Our comprehensive cardiovascular evaluations are designed to diagnose and manage a wide range of heart-related symptoms, including chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, and fainting. Consultations also address hypertension, valvular heart disease, arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, peripheral vascular disease, and heart transplant assessments, giving patients a complete picture of their cardiovascular health.

We offer a full range of advanced interventional treatments, including heart catheterizations, coronary angiography, stent placements, carotid stenting, and AAA repair. Our specialists also perform mechanical circulatory support procedures such as Impella and ECMO, transcatheter valve repairs and replacements, and PFO/ASD closures, helping restore blood flow, repair structural defects, and support heart function in critically ill patients.

Our clinic provides both non-invasive and minimally invasive testing to accurately assess heart and vascular health, including echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, treadmill, nuclear, and cardiac PET stress testing, coronary calcium score evaluation, and Holter monitoring. These diagnostic tools allow our cardiologists to detect irregularities, evaluate circulation, and monitor heart performance under real-world conditions, forming the foundation for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.

As part of the Shell Center of Excellence, our practice prioritizes expedited access to experienced cardiologists, often offering same-day or same-week appointments for patients with urgent evaluation or follow-up needs. We provide cardiovascular consultation, evaluation, and management for patients being evaluated for or recovering from heart, liver, lung, and kidney transplantation. Working collaboratively with transplant surgeons and other specialists, we assess cardiovascular risk, identify underlying heart disease, optimize patients when appropriate, and provide ongoing cardiovascular care following transplantation. Our goal is not simply to evaluate the heart, but to help each patient safely navigate the cardiovascular aspects of the entire transplant journey.

Quaternary consultation is designed to complement, not replace, the care provided by a patient’s existing medical team, from primary care physicians to primary cardiologists. Within the Texas Medical Center, we are available to consult on complex hospitalized patients referred by cardiologists, hospitalists, transplant physicians, surgeons, and other specialists. Dr. George works directly with referring physicians to provide expert cardiovascular assessment, clarify complex clinical issues, and assist with treatment planning when an additional level of specialized expertise is needed. For referring physicians, the goal is simple: to provide another set of highly trained cardiovascular eyes when the case demands it. When the patient is ready to return home from the Texas Medical Center, we communicate with the primary cardiologist to help ensure seamless continuity of care.
